I worked as a litigation attorney and transitioned to become the director of recruiting of a 200+ attorney firm with 12 offices across the U.S. This position gave me insider knowledge of all aspects of the legal recruiting process. When I moved to Houston in January 2018, I leveraged my law firm experience to become a search firm recruiter.
I started Upperline Legal in 2024 to further share my expertise and enthusiasm with today’s up-and-coming associates and the next generation of attorneys in the Texas Market. My husband and I fell in love with the diverse Houston food scene. We can often be found dining in all the new spots around Houston. When we aren’t dining, we spend time with our poodles and two teenagers out in Memorial.
I graduated from the University of Alabama and completed my JD at Wake Forest before moving to New Orleans to work as a pharmaceutical defense attorney. At McGlinchey Stafford, I transitioned to HR to become the Director of Recruiting, I managed all levels of attorney recruitment, including candidate review, on-campus and in-house interviewing, recruitment fees, offer timing and negotiations, and the deliberation of offers with hiring partners and the internal recruiting committee. My background means I know both the day-to-day and the long-term goals of major law firms, which sets me apart from other recruiters.
